Karen

The Goodwin Studio has been established in Gosport for 28 years.  Based in an elegant Grade II listed building, just off the main High St, the Studio has a custom built portrait area, really comfortable viewing room and a large reception space. The building itself is a bit of a tardis, spread over 4 floors, with a large framing workshop at the rear.

The original founder is Karen Goodwin, ABIPP, AMPA, ASWPP, who after graduating from Plymouth College of Art initially worked as a photographer for various commercial organizations including IBM and Portsmouth University. In 1983 she decided to move into the Social side of photography, by opening the Studio and working within her favourite environment PEOPLE PHOTOGRAPHY.

She is a qualified Associate of the professional organizations : BIPP, MPA, SWPP.

Next in line is Joanna Sherwood, Karen's youngest daughter who runs the reception, sales and print retouching and finishing.

Jo has recently gone off to University in Warwick to pursue her first love of horses, but she still helps out at busy times.

Jo on her wedding day to Alan on the 13th February 2009 in Antigua. Needless to say Mum worked!

Keith, covered  maternity leave for the Studio, and now does some Weddings and Events.

Finally, there is Tracey who keeps the Studio clean and tidy ( or tries to! ), and Taff the mystery picture framer ( the Studio's own version of the Stig! ).
